Emmanuel-God With Us

         

 “Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. “ (Matt.1:23)

 Every Christmas Season we remind ourselves of the Christmas story. Every Christmas we read the same familiar story. We begin hearing the words, but they no longer carry the impact. We must understand the true message of Christmas. A message that we know will stay with us. The God of heaven came to be with us. Emmanuel – God with us

 Christmas was foretold 700 years before the birth of Jesus by the prophet Isaiah. (Isaiah 7:14). “Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted as, God with us.” The creator of the universe is with us. He has come to be with us. He has come to be in us. He has come to save us from our sins. Emmanuel – God with us

 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God.”(John 1:1-2) “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father.) Full of grace and truth. (John 1:14). God himself, the creator of all things came to reveal Himself to the world. He came and took on a human form as a baby in a manager. He became Jesus the savior of the world. Emmanuel – God with us

 Jesus is the true heart of God. Jesus is the true heart of Christmas. God has always been with us. But for 400 years God became silent to mankind. In those 400 years there was no communication from God. But out of a silent dark night there came an Angel from heaven proclaiming a miracle of Hope in the lost and fallen world. The sound of a baby’s cry broke the silence of 400 years. Emmanuel – God with us

 The true beauty of Christmas never fades and will never lose its’ power. His presence surrounds us, waiting to break through any shade of darkness to reveal Himself as the true Hope in our lives. Christ has come to us right where we are, just as we are. He enters into our loss, comes to share our sorrows and infuse us with His healing presences. He is with us. He has come to make His home in us and invites us to make our home in Him. Emmanuel – God with us

 All throughout the world, every country is looking for the right person to be their leader. They are looking for the right method to establish their government. The right solution in these troubled times to give them hope. “Fear not for I am with you, do not be dismayed for I am your God, I will strengthen you and help you and uphold you by my righteous right hand.” (Isaiah 41:10) We need to recognize that the God of this universe is with us! Emmanuel – God with us
