PEACE ON EARTH

Christmas time is a time of Peace, Hope, Joy and Love. Christmas time brings about a busy time in all our lives that cause most people to miss out on the true meaning of Christmas.  A meaning that reveals God’s plan and purpose to bring Peace to mankind and to the World through His son Jesus Christ.

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end” Isaiah 9:6-7a

The true meaning of Christmas reveals the greatest event that ever took place on earth. A time when angels descended to earth praising God and announcing the birth of Jesus bringing with Him God’s Glory and Peace.

 “And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.” Luke 2:13-14

 The coming of this child will be the greatest revelation of the Glory of God even among the heights of heaven and the coming of this child will bring peace to God’s people

With all the conflict and confusion that is going on around the world we have to wonder where is that peace.  We struggle with the uncertainty of tomorrow and turmoil going on in our lives and the world around us.

This year I awoke in a dream, usually you awake from a dream, but I awoke in a dream.  There stood a figure, the Holy Spirit or an angel, I do not know.  He took the word from the Bible and began to pray over the earth and the nations for peace.  He brought out a description and meaning of peace I never seen before.  When I awoke I was able to remember everything he prayed.  It gave me a greater understanding of why Jesus said “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you.  Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” (John 14:27).  Jesus Christ is the only One who offers true peace – a lasting contentment that is unbreakable.

• It’s a peace that only comes from Heaven   
• A peace that connects us to God Himself   
• A peace that calms the storms of life
• A peace that gives us hope

God brought His Son into the world that through Him we can have peace with God and experience love and joy that he has to give.  Jesus provides a peace that brings rest to our souls to overcome the anxieties of life.

“Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.  And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7

Jesus is the Master of Peace, the Prince of Peace that will calm the storms of hopelessness, uncertainty and circumstances that we go through. A peace that restores broken relationships with others and family.

Peace with God brings the Peace of God.  May your Christmas be filled with this Peace.
